November, 15th 2019-- Recently, Dr. Garg's WE CARE research emphasizing the significance of meeting families' material needs to improve pediatric health outcomes was cited during Duke University School of Medicine's (DUSM) Cultural Determinants of Health and Health Disparities course. The course is part of the Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program at DUSM, which looks to foster students' "emotional intelligence, integrity, teamwork, selfless service, and critical thinking" as future leaders in the healthcare field [1].
