Bronwyn Wada-Gill, MD

Medical School: University of Massachusetts T.H. Chan School of Medicine
Residency: Family Medicine, Lawrence Family Medicine Residency (Chief Resident)

Bronwyn Wada-Gill, MD is a proud Massachusetts native. She earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts T.H. Chan School of Medicine, where she received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award and the Ann Nemitz Award, recognizing her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, advocacy, and humility.

She completed her residency at Lawrence Family Medicine Residency, serving as Chief Resident. During this time, she developed a strong focus on sports and musculoskeletal medicine, with particular interest in sideline coverage and procedural skills, including musculoskeletal ultrasound and injections.

Dr. Wada-Gill has extensive experience caring for athletes across high school and collegiate sports, including football, hockey, rugby, wrestling, and lacrosse, as well as major events such as the Boston Marathon and Falmouth Road Race. She is especially interested in caring for performing artists, including dancers, gymnasts, and figure skaters.

Her broader clinical interests include community health, health equity in musculoskeletal care, and global health. She is committed to fostering inclusive, restorative clinical environments and addressing barriers to care. She views sports and musculoskeletal medicine as a field that integrates science, performance, and healing, requiring both technical expertise and deep respect for the body's role in shaping human experience.

Outside of medicine, she has a longstanding background in dance, having trained and performed with the Boston Ballet. She enjoys theater, travel, photography, and outdoor activities, and values language and cultural connection, speaking Japanese and pursuing medical Spanish to support language-concordant care.

Dr. Wada-Gill aims to become a sports medicine physician who not only treats injuries but helps individuals return to their passions with strength, confidence, and resilience. During her fellowship, she looks forward to expanding her skills in sideline care, diagnostic ultrasound, and comprehensive athlete management, while supporting local athletic communities including Boston University, Boston College, and MIT.
