As men get older, prostate health becomes an important part of staying well. Taking a proactive step now can help you understand your risk and take care of your health before a concern becomes something more serious.
Now, BMC Health System is making it even easier to take that proactive step. In partnership with Golf Fights Cancer and Man Cave Health, we’re bringing prostate cancer education and screening directly to men across Greater Boston through a mobile program that travels to local health and sporting events.
Designed to Meet Men Where They Are
BMCHS’ mobile prostate screening van is bringing prostate cancer education, risk assessment, and screening to your community.
At each event, you can talk with our care team, ask questions, and learn more about your prostate cancer risk. If screening is right for you, we can also provide a simple prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. No digital exam is required, making the process more comfortable for men who may have been hesitant to get screened in the past.
If you need follow-up care, we will help connect you with additional BMCHS departments and services, to ensure you know what to do next and where to go for support.

A Mobile Approach to Prostate Cancer Screening
Led by Mark Katz, MD, the mobile prostate screening program builds on more than 15 years of his work bringing prostate cancer education and screening into Boston neighborhoods. Now, through this new BMCHS mobile program, Dr. Katz is helping make PSA testing and follow-up care easier to access.
