As of April 29, BMC’s Yawkey building doors are closed as an entrance. All patients and visitors on our main campus must enter the hospital via the Shapiro, Menino, or Moakley buildings, where they will be greeted by team members at a new centralized check-in desk. Learn more.

About

Dr. McCabe is the Vice Chair of Education, Department of Emergency Medicine, and an Assistant Professor at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. In addition to clinical emergency medicine, Dr. McCabe is interested in diversity, equity, and inclusion; faculty, fellow, and resident development; the impact of emotions on medical education; and organizational culture and leadership. She is a BMC Health Equity Champion and is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the health care workforce, including work/life integration and authenticity. She is an integral part of resident and medical student education, a leader in curriculum development, a driving force behind multiple educational innovations at BMC, and a mentor for numerous medical students, residents, and junior faculty. She is a proud mother of three children and two dogs.
