An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

BMC's Geriatrics Home Care Program is the oldest continuously operating in-home medical service in the United States, delivering care to those who cannot leave their homes for treatment. In addition to being seen at home, the care team will help coordinate other needed medical services such as ophthalmology, podiatry, psychiatry, and hearing services. Patients must be 70 years old or older, be homebound and live in Boston, and choose BMC for primary and specialty care and hospitalization.

Education and Training

Geriatrics Fellowship

BMC offers a one-year fellowship in geriatric medicine, in which fellows serve as primary care providers to patients in our Home Care Program, Ambulatory Clinic, and Nursing Home Practice. Fellows also complete rotations in specialized areas such as inpatient care, dementia care, and palliative care, providing a well-rounded clinical experience.
