Megan G. Janeway, MD, is a board-certified trauma and acute care surgeon at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Janeway received her medical degree from the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency training at Boston Medical Center. She ... subsequently completed a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.
Along with Tracey Dechert, MD, Chief of Acute Care and Trauma Surgery at BMC, Dr. Janeway co-founded the the Socially Responsible Surgery (SRS) group at BMC while she was a medical student at BU. SRS is now a national organization with chapters across the country.
Dr. Janeway has a longstanding interest in reducing disparities in surgical care, including ensuring timely and equitable access to emergency general surgical care and to post-acute care for trauma patients.
