About

Lillian E.C. McMahon, MD, currently serves as a physician at Boston Medical Center and Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She has served as the Clinical Director of the Sickle Cell Center of Excellence since 2002. Dr. McMahon also serves on the Transfusion Committee, New England Regional Genetic Group and Hemoglobinopathy Subcommittee, and the Minority Recruitment Committee. She also serves as the PI for the Boston Sickle Cell Consortium at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and is a member of the Steering Committee for the SCC Clinical Trials Committee. Dr. McMahon completed two years of residency for internal medicine and two years of residency for pediatrics at Boston City Hospital. She completed her Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Boston City Hospital in 1970.
