Leyla Yavuz Saricay, MD, MSc, FEBO

Leyla Yavuz Saricay, MD, MSc, FEBO is an ophthalmologist specializing in adult and pediatric corneal diseases, ophthalmic genetics, and refractive surgery. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Boston University and Instructor at Harvard Medical School, with clinical appointments at Boston Medical Center and Boston Children's Hospital.

Dr. Yavuz Saricay completed fellowships in ophthalmic genetics, pediatric ophthalmology, and cornea and refractive surgery, bringing a unique multidisciplinary expertise to her practice. Her clinical and research interests include limbal stem cell deficiency, neurotrophic keratopathy, corneal nerve regeneration, and genetic corneal disorders, with a focus on advancing diagnostics and treatments through in vivo confocal microscopy and anterior segment imaging.

She has received multiple awards, including the Traboulsi Award (ISGER), the Best Clinical Trainee Research Award in Cornea and Refractive Surgery (Harvard Ophthalmology), and the Claes H.
