An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

Keri D. Sewell, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor of family medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Sewell practices full-spectrum family medicine. She has a special interest in health disparities in chronic and preventable diseases, with a focus on medical management of obesity and metabolic syndrome. Dr. Sewell's other research interests include improving disparities in breastfeeding rates and prevention of pediatric obesity.
