About

Kathleen Lapommeray, MSN, WHNP-BC, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) and women’s health care nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC) at Boston Medical Center (BMC), and an Instructor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Kathleen’s research interests include maternal health equity and racial disparities in maternal health, with a focus on reducing these disparities through trauma-informed and patient-centered maternity care.

In addition to working in the Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum Care unit at BMC, Kathleen sees patients at Codman Square Community Health Center in Dorchester.
