About

Joseph Melville Wright, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine and addiction medicine physician affiliated with Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Wright is also the director of addiction treatment for Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. After receiving his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Wright completed an internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His interests include increasing access to low-barrier addiction treatment and improving retention in care; and creating models of care that integrate medical interventions with trauma care, empowerment, and mutual aid.
