Jeffrey A. Kalish, MD, is a board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where he serves as Director of Endovascular Surgery. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery (Vascular and Endovascular Surgery) and of Interventional Radiology, and Vice Chair for Ambulatory Operations, at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Kalish received his medical degree ... from New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York, and completed his surgery residency training at Boston Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Kalish has extensive expertise in complex amputation and limb salvage surgery, totally percutaneous endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, carotid artery surgery and stenting, diabetic lower extremity management, and complex dialysis access. He is widely recognized for his clinical research in vascular surgery, which has significantly improved the quality and effectiveness of ultrasound-guided access during peripheral vascular intervention.
Dr. Kalish has received several awards and honors, including the Society for Vascular Surgery’s E.J. Wylie Traveling Fellowship for his leadership in improving multidisciplinary care for amputees, based on lessons learned from the Boston Marathon bombing.
