To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Ivan Luptak, MD, PhD, is a board-certified cardiologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor of medicine in Cardiovascular Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Luptak runs Luptak Lab, a research laboratory that studies myocardial energy metabolism. Luptak Lab aims to develop therapeutic approaches for improving outcomes by improving cardiac energy efficiency in patients with heart failure. They are currently studying models of diabetic cardiomyopathy and HCM.
