H. Berk Degirmenci, MD is an attending rheumatologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University Medical Center. He completed his medical degree with cum laude at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty, followed by internal medicine residency at BMC-Brighton (formerly known as St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center) where he was honored with several recognitions including Intern of the Year (Stohlman Award) and Resident of the Year (Ramaswamy Award). He completed his rheumatology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.

Dr. Degirmenci's clinical and research interests include inflammatory arthritis, systemic vasculitis, use of ultrasound in rheumatology, and medical education. He is certified by the USSONAR program for use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in rheumatology. He has been recognized nationally and internationally for his work, including election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
