F. Thurston Drake, MD, MPH, FACS, is a board-certified general and endocrine surgeon at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where he serves as Chief of Endocrine Surgery, and at Boston Medical Center – Brighton (BMC Brighton). He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He additionally serves as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve Medical Corps.

Dr. Drake holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He completed his general surgery residency training at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, and additionally holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Washington School of Public Health. Dr. Drake subsequently completed a fellowship in Comprehensive Endocrine Surgery at UC San Francisco Medical Center, one of the country's top programs for this specialty.

Dr. Drake’s interests include improving surgical care for patients who are not English-language proficient.
