An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

Elizabeth J. Planert, MSW, LCSW, is a clinical social worker serving patients of the outpatient neurology clinics at Boston Medical Center. She is available to assess social determinants of health, give consultation for resources, and provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their caregivers as they navigate the psychosocial challenges associated with illness.

Her professional experience includes outpatient psychotherapy with adults experiencing mental health and substance use disorders, as well as social work in schools.
