Ehab S. Billatos, MD

Ehab S. Billatos, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where he serves as Director of Bronchoscopy, Inpatient Pulmonary Clinical Services, and the Pleural Disease Service; and at Boston Medical Center – Brighton. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep, and Critical Care Medicine and a member of the Section of Computational Biomedicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Billatos received his medical degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at BMC.

Dr. Billatos specializes in diagnosing lung cancer, and sees patients with indeterminate pulmonary nodules who are undergoing workup for suspicion of lung cancer. He is an expert in advanced bronchoscopy, including endobronchial ultrasound and robot-assisted navigational bronchoscopy. He is also the Principal Investigator (PI) for the DECAMP consortium (Detection of Early Cancer Among Military Personnel), a multicenter trial that aims to improve the early diagnosis of lung cancer via biomarker validation and development from minimally invasive specimens.
