Donald T. Hess, MD, FACS is a board-certified surgeon at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and System Chief for Bariatric, Minimally Invasive, and General Surgery for Boston Medical Center Health System. He is also an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where he directs the General Surgery ... Dr. Hess earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, and completed his general surgery residency training, followed by a fellowship in surgical oncology, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Hess has been in practice for more than 25 years. His expertise includes laparoscopic bariatric surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and revisional bariatric surgery.
