Dominic Pisano is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Boston Medical Center, and has assumed the role of Residency Program Director at Boston Medical Center - Brighton in October 2025.
Dr. Pisano began practicing at Boston Medical Center in November 2023, and has held the role of Rotation Director of the SNICU since June 2024. In this role he has expanded
... didactic sessions to include clinical simulation at the Solomon Simulation Center and introduced an once-monthly ultrasound teaching session in conjunction with the ultrasound fellowship in the Emergency Department. Prior to coming to BMC, Dr. Pisano was the inaugural Internship Program Director and Assistant Program Director for the anesthesiology residency at Tufts Medical Center from 2022-2023. He helped with the transition of the anesthesia residency program from an advanced to categorical residency. From 2018-2021, Dr. Pisano served as the Site Director for the Miriam Hospital and Assistant Program Director of the anesthesia residency at Brown University Anesthesia Residency Program. In this role, Dr. Pisano assisted program leadership with the creation of the Brown University Anesthesia Residency Program in 2018.
Dr. Pisano's clinical and research interests are the physiologically difficult airway; extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); regional anesthesia and pain management in the critically ill; critical care echocardiography; and hearing loss.
