From casual bikers and weekend warriors to best-in-class athletes, anyone can experience injuries. If you’ve experienced a sports-related injury or condition, BMC’s expert sports medicine providers are here to help get you back to doing what you love.
Providers at the Ryan Center for Sports Medicine guide patients through the diagnosis and treatment of their condition, whether it is a musculoskeletal (MSK) issue from overuse or injury, a concussion, or a medical issue related to sports participation. The center offers on-site x-rays and ultrasound to help evaluate a patient’s condition. Once diagnosed, physicians can design a treatment plan that is patient-specific in order to obtain the best results possible.

Tratamientos y Servicios
In addition to the treatment services below, we also perform:
- Shockwave therapy - a non-invasive, low-risk treatment that helps to stimulate the body's natural ability to heal. It is primarily used to relieve pain and encourage healing of tendons and other soft tissues. Some examples of conditions that can be treated with shockwave therapy include plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow and rotator cuff pain. There is very little downtime with this treatment and athletes can typically return to activity within 24 hours.
- Needle fenestration/percutaneous tenotomy with TendoNova - a minimally invasive in-office procedure for treating chronic tendon pain.
