The Child Witness to Violence Project (CWVP) provides free, specialized counseling, advocacy, and outreach services focused on children and youth who have been exposed to domestic violence, community violence, or other trauma-related events. We are committed to helping children make sense of these events so that they can heal and move past their traumatic experiences. 

A pediatric development center where a child behavioral specialist evaluates and treats conditions such as autism, ADHD, and developmental delays.
A children’s emergency department providing 24/7 care for newborns to age 22 with access to pediatric surgery, trauma, ENT, orthopedics, and more.
Pediatric psychiatrists who provide pediatric mental health care with assessment and treatment for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other behavioral concerns.
Trauma surgeons specially trained to care for urgent injuries and critical conditions provide emergency surgical services, including ER surgery.
Education and Training

Child Trauma and Resilience Network Internships

As part of the Child Trauma and Resilience Network, the Child Witness to Violence Program offers internship opportunities for graduate students in social work, psychology, and other mental health programs. Internships are appropriate for master's-level students with at least one year of previous experience working with children exposed to trauma or working in early childhood and include weekly individual supervision for therapy and trainings on clinical topics.
