About

Suvranu Ganguli, MD, FSIR, is the Chief of Interventional Radiology for the Boston Medical Center Health System and Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.  Dr. Ganguli’s research has been in clinical interventional radiology and interventional oncology, with a focus on optimizing intra-arterial therapies of primary and secondary hepatic cancers.  This has included research on optimal drug-eluting bead sizes for chemoembolization and optimizing radioembolization treatment protocols.  He has authored or co-authored over 127 peer-reviewed articles.

His work has been cited more than 2800 times. He is a national expert and thought leader in interventional oncology, with numerous scientific articles, invited reviews, and book chapters, including co-editing an interventional oncology textbook. He has served on study sections for the NIH in addition to serving on scientific review committees for multiple agencies and societies.
