An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

About

Sreekrishna (Krishna) Pokuri, MD, is an anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician at Boston Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Pokuri received his medical degree from Albany Medical Center and his bachelor’s degree from Union College. He completed his residency at Tufts Medical Center and trained as an interventional pain management fellow at Yale Medical Center.

Dr. Pokuri's clinical interests include image-guided injections/procedures, neuromodulation, and regenerative medicine and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus in degenerative spine and joint conditions. Passionate about academic medicine, Dr. Pokuri also contributes to resident education and ongoing clinical research to advance the field of pain management.
