Weather Advisory: Temporary Door Closure

Due to extreme cold, access through the Moakley Building's entrance off Boston Medical Center Place will be temporarily closed from 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9.

All patients and visitors should use the main entrance for the Menino and Yawkey Buildings during this time. The hospital remains open and operating as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions during severe winter weather.

Sara M Alexanian, MD is an endocrinologist and Director of the Inpatient Diabetes Program at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Alexanian is also an associate professor of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition & Weight Management at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Her research interests include quality improvement, in particular as it relates to inpatient diabetes care. Dr. Alexanian completed her medical degree at Dartmouth School of Medicine in 2003, and has been practicing for over 15 years. She has significant expertise in the inpatient management of diabetes.
