Rachel A. Achu-Lopes, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where she serves as Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology. Dr. Achu-Lopes is also an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Director of Opportunity and Engagement for the Department of Anesthesiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Achu-Lopes earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados and completed her residency training in anesthesiology at Boston Medical Center.
