Priya S. Garg, MD, is a board-certified pediatric hospitalist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and Associate Dean of Medical Education at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Garg earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed her pediatrics residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She ... subsequently joined the faculty at Tufts University School of Medicine/Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where she served in several leadership roles in medical education, including as Pediatric Clerkship Director (2008–2010), Pediatric Inpatient Medicine Acting Internship Director (2008–2017), Pediatric Residency Director (2010–2017), and Associate Director for Graduate Medical Education Quality and Safety (2014–2017). She has also led multiple faculty development programs related to educational leadership and teaching and is a faculty mentor in the Academic Pediatric Association’s Educational Scholars Program.
Dr. Garg has worked with many medical students and residents as a pediatric hospitalist and has received several awards in medical education, including the Tufts University School of Medicine Excellence in Teaching Award, Outstanding Teacher in the Clerkship Years, the Natalie Zucker Award for Outstanding Innovation, and the J. David Naparstek Community Mentor Award from Tufts University School of Public Health.
In addition to her leadership role in medical education, Dr. Garg continues her clinical work providing inpatient pediatric care.
