About
Melissa Nadler, MD has acted as the Director of Anesthesiology Simulation since 2021 and as one of the Anesthesiology Residency Assistant Program Directors at Boston Medical Center since 2024.
Dr. Nadler received her MD from New York Medical College in 2015. She completed her Anesthesiology Residency at Boston University Boston Medical Center in 2019, earning the honor of chief resident in ... her final year of training. She went on to complete her fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in 2020.
Dr. Nadler joined the staff of the Boston Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and was named the Director of Anesthesia Simulation in 2021. Since that time, she has worked to expand upon existing curriculum and create new simulation experiences to further clinical education for the department. Dr. Nadler created intern simulation education and wellness days with the goal of integrating and improving the educational experience of the categorical anesthesiology interns. She also implemented a new advanced vascular access curriculum for the junior residents. Dr. Nadler has worked to utilize simulation as a means of improving quality and safety within the department, specifically with the creation of the Clinical Skills Grand Rounds educational series that allows learners of all levels to practice clinical skills that are instrumental to the safe practice of anesthesiology.
Dr. Nadler was named an Assistant Program Director for the Anesthesiology Residency in 2024. This opportunity has afforded her the chance to integrate her interests in education, mentorship, and residency program leadership.
