About

Kwaku Twum, PhD, is a board-certified clinical chemist and Assistant Director of Clinical Chemistry in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (Lab Services) at Boston Medical Center (BMC).

Dr. Twum holds an MPhil in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, and earned his doctorate in Biomedical Science with focus in Chemistry at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He completed a fellowship in Clinical Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2025.
