Dr. Jorge A. Soto is a radiologist and the Chief of Radiology at BMC, and professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Soto is an expert in CT and MR imaging of pancreatico-biliary diseases, trauma, abdominal emergencies, inflammatory bowel disease, and CT colonography. He has authored more than 130 ... peer-reviewed journal articles, 60 review articles and book chapters, and is the editor of six books.
Dr. Soto received his medical degree from Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud (CES) and completed his fellowship in body imaging at Boston Medical Center. He serves on the editorial boards of Radiology and Abdominal Radiology and as a reviewer for numerous journals. Dr. Soto is also the former president of the New England Roentgen Ray Society and a current member of many national and international radiological committees, including the Radiological Society of North America, American Society of Emergency Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Abdominal Radiology, and American College of Radiology.
