Hannah E. Brown, MD

Hannah E. Brown, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where she directs the Wellness and Recovery after Psychosis (WRAP) Program and serves as Vice Chair of Research for BMC's Division of Psychiatry. She is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Brown received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her adult psychiatry residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston and McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. She subsequently completed a fellowship in schizophrenia at MGH.

Dr. Brown's clinical practice and research focuses on treatment of psychotic disorders and delivering equitable and accessible care for individuals with serious mental illness. She has served as principal investigator (PI) for multiple clinical and translational research studies across MGH and BMC and has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and invited commentaries on schizophrenia.

A committed educator, Dr. Brown has mentored multiple medical students, residents, fellows, and early faculty members. She is the recipient of the 2021 Excellence in Mentorship Award from BMC's Department of Psychiatry and is a 2023 Boston University Medical Group Clinical Excellence Society inductee.

In addition to directing BMC’s WRAP program for adults with psychosis, Dr. Brown is Co-Director of the WRAP without Walls (WWW) initiative for adolescents and young adults with frequent substance use and psychosis symptoms.
