About

Alicia C. Fonseca, MSN, WHNP-BC, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) and women’s health care nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC) at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Instructor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Alicia earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.

In addition to providing care at BMC in both Labor & Delivery and the Postpartum Unit, Alicia provides prenatal and gynecologic health care at NeighborHealth in East Boston and DotHouse Health in Dorchester. She has a strong commitment to health equity, equality, and shared decision-making, and her interests include family planning, Health at Every Size (HAES), and perinatal (before and after childbirth) mental health.

In addition to English, Alicia is fluent in Spanish.
