Robert W. Pistey, MD, is an attending pathologist and the Medical Director of Biobank at Boston Medical Center (BMC). He is also a clinical associate professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine in Anatomic Pathology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Since his appointment in 2003, Dr. Pistey has held many roles including attending physician, lab Instructor, mentor, and pathology resident lecturer. Many of his past students are fellows, assistant professors, and residents at universities like Johns Hopkins, Columbia, University of Washington, and Boston University. He is a member of the BMC Cancer Care Committee and regularly attends continuing medical education courses at Harvard Medical School.
