One Place, One Team, One Focus: The Patient!

Welcome to the Dempsey Center for Digestive Disorders, established at Boston Medical Center in 1999.

The Center is an interdisciplinary team of nationally renowned physicians, surgeons and other clinical experts that evaluate and treat a wide range of digestive disorders including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, liver disease, pancreatic tumor and gastrointestinal disorders.

The Center comprises six core subspecialty practice areas. Each is co-chaired by a member of BMC’s Section of Gastroenterology and the Department of Surgery to ensure a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

In addition, clinical experts in nutrition, nursing, psychiatry, radiology, urology and other specialties staff the Center.
