Scapula Fracture Study

The purpose of this research is to study how recovery of shoulder function relates to the type and amount of injury that can be seen on an x-ray. It is hoped that this study will help us to develop standards to help guide treatment decisions based on x-ray findings

Patients who participate in this research will be asked to complete questionnaires for this study at their initial hospital visit and each of their regularly scheduled follow-up visits. Follow-up appointments are generally scheduled 2, 6, 12, 24, and 52 weeks post treatment. The questionnaires will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

This study does not use any experimental procedures or devices. Patients who decide to participate will receive care just like anyone else with this injury.
