Sacral Fracture Study
The purpose of this research is to study how recovery of sacral fractures
relates to the type and amount of injury that can be seen on an x-ray. It is
hoped that this study will give us a better idea of how patients with sacral
fractures do over time.
Patients who participate in this research will be asked to complete questionnaires for this study at their initial hospital visit and each of their regularly scheduled follow-up visits. Three follow-up appointments are generally scheduled in the first 6 weeks post treatment and then again at 3, 6, 9, 12, and 24 months post treatment. The questionnaires will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
This study does not use any experimental procedures or devices. Patients who decide to participate will receive care just like anyone else with this injury.
