The Department of Urology at Boston Medical Center is an international leader in patient care, medical education and research for many of the problems relating to the urinary tract. Significant advancements at Boston Medical Center include:


  • Boston Medical Center was the first hospital in Massachusetts to perform robot-assisted surgery to treat prostate cancer

  • Ground-breaking discoveries in the field of male reproduction have been made at Boston Medical Center involving collaborative work of the Department of Urology and Department of Human Genetics.

  • The Center for Sexual Medicine is one of the first multi-disciplinary clinics in sexual medicine in the U.S. combining multiple medical and mental health professionals dedicated to managing sexual dysfunction.
