QUALITATIVE ASSESSMENT OF LABOR AND DELIVERY EXPERIENCE IN THE U.S. This is a qualitative research study using in-depth interviews to explore common attitudes and perceptions of labor and delivery held by U.S. based refugee women of African origin as well as their access to healthcare during their pregnancy and delivery. Our goal is to use the information gained through this project to augment the knowledge of health care professionals who work with this unique population. We hope this will ultimately translate into an improved quality of obstetrical care for African immigrant women provided by Boston Medical Center. Anticipated duration of the interview is 60 to 90 minutes. |
