The hypertension practice is part of BMC's Department of Medicine and is the only medical practice in Boston devoted exclusively to research and treatment for hypertension (high blood pressure), which affects 15 percent of Americans.

BMC was the first to introduce some of the now established anti-hypertensive drug therapies, and they continue to pursue pioneering research and innovative treatments.
