Body Liposuction

Liposuction today is a safe, outpatient procedure that highly gratifies both patients and physicians. The procedure is performed through tiny incisions, under only local anesthesia, using the smallest instruments possible. Blood loss is minimal and results have never been better. While the ideal candidate is one with residual fat deposits despite diet and exercise, most people can see notable results.

All fat pockets from neck to ankles can be easily removed and re-sculpted. Recovery is very fast, and most patients return to their daily routine within 24-48 hours, and to exercise within a week.

Can the fat come back?
Fat cells enlarge with weight gain. After liposuction, most fat cells are removed permanently. Any significant weight gain would usually result in enlargements of untreated areas.

How can I maintain my results?
It is very important that all patients considering liposuction be on a combination of diet and exercise before the procedure in order to have good results. This is even more important after the procedure.

Can the removed fat be used to enhance other body areas?
Yes. Facial folds, scars and dimples can be corrected using your own fat.

What should I expect after the procedure?
There is minimal pain or discomfort post-operatively. Drainage from suction sites continues for approximately 2-3 days and then ceases. These sites heal with minimal scarring and are usually hidden in natural folds. Minor swelling may persist for up to 2-3 months after which one can expect to see the final sculptured result.

Neck Liposuction

A strong jaw line and chin are among the most important feature of an attractive face for both men and women. The change that comes from a changing a sagging neck – often done in conjunction with a Chin Implant and/or a Neck Lift is often times very dramatic.

Neck Liposuction is easily done, virtually pain-free in local anesthesia, and it only takes half of a morning to perform. In order for the skin to attach to the muscles and bones in its new location a tight “neck-sling” has to be worn for 7 days continuously.

Many patients have a natural strong jaw and good chin projection but overlying fat does not let it show. In these cases a neck liposuction is the only procedure needed to achieve a very dramatic result.

Lipotransfer

Fat can be safely transplanted from an area of the hip or thigh. It is processed and then re-injected within a few minutes to correct deep facial folds, dimples or augment lips. Minor swelling and bruising usually follows the injections and resolves within a few days.

Results vary but usually last between 6-12 months. In many patients, the augmentation lasts much longer, especially when the transplant is reinforced with 1-2 touch-ups in the first six months. Side effects are very rare, and allergic reactions are non-existent.
