 Chickpeas are a type of legume and contain protein. Spice them up with a little cayenne pepper or other seasoning of your choice. They can also be served on salads or mixed into other dishes.

## Ingredients

 Chickpeas - ½ can (14oz)  Olive\_oil - ½ Tablespoon  Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon Maple\_syrup - 1 teaspoon  Cayenne\_pepper - ½ teaspoon  

## Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. 

Step 2

Line 2 sheet trays with parchment paper.

Step 3

Pat the chickpeas with a paper towel until dry. 

Step 4

Toss them in olive oil, cinnamon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper.

Step 5

Place on a sheet tray in a single layer, and roast for 35 minutes until golden brown. 

Step 6

Serve cold or hot, how you like it.
