 Homemade granola is easy to make, allows you to control ingredients and makes you house smell great! Try this mixed with nuts for a balanced snack or as topping on yogurt.

## Ingredients

 Oats - 2 cups (Quick, Rolled, or Old Fashioned) Nuts - 1/4 cup walnuts, almonds, peanuts  Oil - 2 Tablespoons avocado, canola, peanut, sesame or light olive oil Honey - 2 Tablespoons  Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon, ground (optional) Vanilla-extract - 1 teaspoon (optional) Salt - ¼ teaspoon (optional) 

## Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250°F

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring until well combined.

Step 3

Spread mixture onto a baking sheet and place in the oven.

Step 4

Bake for 30 minutes, stirring and turning mixture every 10 minutes to help it cook evenly.

Step 5

Remove baking sheet and allow to cool.

Step 6

Store in an airtight container.

 

### Notes

Be careful not to overbake as granola can burn easily.
