 Seizure-like activity is seizures that are not caused by epilepsy or any unusual electric activity in your brain. They are usually caused by psychological stress or a physical condition.

Symptoms are similar to those of an epileptic seizure.

Causes may include:

- Fainting
- Certain heart conditions
- Trauma, including abuse
- Psychological pain
- Panic attacks
- Dissociative states

To treat seizure-like activity, you'll need to treat the underlying condition causing the seizures.
