UPDATED: Deadline Approaching for All BMC Employees and LIPs to Be Vaccinated Against COVID-19 and Record Compliance in the Employee Health Portal

The deadline for COVID-19 vaccination compliance for BMC employees and licensed independent practitioners (LIPs) – which means having obtained at least one vaccine dose and entering your vaccination status in the Employee Health Portal is this Friday, October 15, 2021.

While having at least one dose of the vaccine is required by October 15, the second dose (if not J&J) must be received no later than November 19 in order for an employee to be fully compliant.

Please also note that even if you have received only one dose, you should proceed to the Employee Health Portal and answer “no” to being fully compliant and then “yes” to having received one dose. You will be directed to upload documentation or consent to a BMC Epic pull if vaccinated at BMC.

Click here for a tip sheet on how to access your BMCHS Employee Health portal and record evidence of your COVID vaccination compliance in the BMCHS Employee Health portal.

The most up-to-date information on the requirement, including hours for the employee vaccination clinic in Dowling and on-demand vaccination, is available on the Hub.

REMINDER: COVID-19 Booster Shots Now Available for BMC Employees and LIPs

The CDC and FDA have approved booster shots of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for certain groups of people who received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine, including both clinical and non-clinical health care workers. Booster shots are not a workplace requirement at this time.

Pfizer booster shots for eligible individuals are available at all BMC vaccination clinics – including the Employee Vaccination Clinic by appointment only. Appointments for employees only can be scheduled through this link, which can also be found on the Hub.

Booster shots are not available to people who received Moderna or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at this time. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster shot recommendations are waiting on FDA and CDC review and guidance
