About

Tracy A. Battaglia MD, MPH, is a board-certified primary care physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and a professor of general internal medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Battaglia completed an internal medicine residency at Beth Israeal Deaconess Medical Center and a public health and general preventive medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center. Today, she is internationally recognized for her approaches to addressing health disparities among women. Her research focuses on increasing access to care for at-risk women. Dr. Battaglia currently leads a city-wide National Institutes of Health study connecting multiple hospitals to reduce breast cancer disparities in Boston.
