Dementia research

The Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Program has a robust research program with faculty who lead pioneering research on the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, including CTE. It is home to several NIH-funded programmatic Centers including the BU Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (BU ADRC), the BU CTE Center, and the Framingham Heart Study Brain Aging Program. A specialized Memory and Aging Clinic is also embedded within the program and is intended for individuals interested in participating in research on diagnostics, detection, risk factors and treatments for dementias, including CTE.
