About

Samantha E. Kaplan, MD, MPH is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Kaplan is also an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Assistant Dean of Diversity & Inclusion, and Director of the Early Medical School Selection Program at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Her clinical interest is the practice of General Obstetrics and Gynecology with emphasis on adolescent care and the disparities apparent in both gynecologic and obstetric health outcomes. Dr. Kaplan is passionate about mentoring students, residents and faculty, especially those from groups historically underrepresented in medicine. Her focus is on increased diversity in the physician workforce, training and educational programs and she is interested in the development of an adjunct educational and support program for minority medical students.
