La conmoción cerebral es una interrupción en la actividad cerebral normal, generalmente debido a un trauma en la cabeza como un accidente automovilístico o por una lesión deportiva. Los síntomas pueden incluir la pérdida del conocimiento, pero debido a que esto no sucede en todos los casos, muchas conmociones cerebrales no se diagnostican ni se tratan. Otros síntomas que pueden ocurrir son confusión y olvido, náuseas, problemas de visión, mareos y más.
