## Treatments & Services

### Jaw Surgery

Maxillomandibular advancement, or sleep apnea jaw surgery, is a procedure that surgically moves the upper and lower jaws forward. The bones are surgically moved forward, as are the soft tissues of the tongue and palate. This causes the upper airway to open, which makes normal breathing possible during sleep.

 ### Ear Plastic Surgery

Ear deformities occur in a number of conditions. Some patients are born with absent (microtia), protruding or drooping ears, due to weak or poorly formed cartilage. Traumatic deformities of the ear also occur due to trauma (e.g. car wreck or dog bite) or torn earlobes. Deformity of the ears may cause social anxiety and may make children vulnerable to teasing. Regardless of the origin of the ear deformity, these ear conditions can be surgically corrected. These procedures do not alter the patient's hearing, but they may improve appearance and self-confidence.

 ### Hair Transplantation

This surgical technique moves individual hair follicles from a part of the body called the donor site to a bald or balding part of the body known as the recipient site.

 ### Cleft Palate or Cleft Lip Repair

Cleft lip (cheiloschisis) and cleft palate (palatoschisis) are common birth defects occurring worldwide, often individually or together. The incomplete formation of the upper lip (cleft lip) or roof of the mouth (cleft palate) can vary and affect one or both sides of the face. Plastic surgery can be done to correct this abnormality that occurred during fetal development, restoring function to improve a patient's ability to eat, speak, hear and breathe, and to restore a more normal appearance and function.
