A Message from Kate Walsh: May 22, 2020
What a beautiful day to kick off the Memorial Day weekend and energize us as we look forward to the summer days ahead. And while our celebrations with friends and families will certainly take on a different feel this year, it is important that we all find the time to rest and recharge.
On Monday, the Governor detailed the initial phase for re-opening the state. In his plan, hospitals and community health centers who meet specific public health and safety standards can provide high priority preventative care, pediatric care, and treatment for high risk patients. At the hospital, planning is underway to safely welcome back an increasing number of patients in need of care. At the health plan we are preparing for an influx of new members who will be eligible to enroll in our health plan products in the coming months.
We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I know that together we will continue to face whatever comes our way.
Thank you for everything you are doing for our patients, members, and the communities we are privileged to serve. And a special thank you to those colleagues across our Health System that will be working over the holiday weekend.
