UPDATE: COVID Recuperation Unit at East Newton

Since opening its doors on April 9, teams at the COVID Recuperation Unit (CRU) at East Newton Pavilion have welcomed 172 guests who are experiencing homelessness and need a place to recover from COVID-19. Currently the CRU has 34 guests, and the average length of stay has been 5.7 days. Thank you to the many people and teams making this important work possible!

REMINDER: Distribution of Donated Meals

In order to comply with physical distancing requirements and to protect the health of all staff, we are not distributing donated meals in the Menino lobby. We will notify departments that will be receiving meals so staff can plan accordingly. Our goal is to provide the donated food to as many departments and people as possible in the coming weeks.

NEW: Refresh Station is Back on Monday, May 4 from 2-5 p.m.

In recognition of everyone’s tireless efforts on behalf of our patients and each other, the “refresh station,” sponsored by the HR department, will be available for employees on the balcony of the Menino lobby on Monday afternoon from 2- 5 p.m. All staff are welcome to come through the station (which will be set up with appropriate social distancing) for a quick break and to grab a treat.
